We live in an era of many instruments and gadgets designed to make our life easy. But sometimes they just make it more complicated. "World Usability Day" is a worldwide event dedicated to solving this problem. Our Israeli team has more. STORY: World usability day in Israel. Architects, designers and engineers are trying to find ways how to make our life easier. [Eva Tsur, Usability Professionals' Association]: "What is really common between all the consumers all over the world is their frustration from the interaction in different products: DVDs , cellular phones, televisions, digital cameras, which we start using them and Im sure everyone you, me, everyone was always frustrated at one point or another: how come this doesnt work? what did I do wrong? The theme this year is usability in transportation. [Eva Tsur, Usability Professionals' Association]: "And I'm sure that we have seen people standing in a machine trying to buy tickets for a train, and they don't know how to put the credit card, which button to push, or even if we take something as easy as just a plane ticket. People look at it and try to see: 'where the hell is the gate? When is the landing time?' A plane ticket is something that millions and millions of people have everyday. So why not make it easy? Make it easy for us, make life easy. This is the message. So what World Usability Day is all about is first of all: We are ok, its the ones who make those products the managers of different companies, the ones who have to (give) orders to their designers, 'do this, do that.' It's not just to make a design more beautiful, it's to make it usable this is the word 'usability' use able." World Usability Day was founded in 2005.
