This year we will again return to the Blair County Ballpark for the 2nd Annual Pints for Pets which will be held Saturday, May 30, 2009. (Note that May 30 is after the Memorial Day holiday.) Last year 60 breweries and exhibitors and 2,000 attendees joined together at the Blair County Ballpark for the 1st Annual Pints for Pets Brewfest to benefit the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society. With 100% of ticket proceeds going to the care and adoption of our area pets, over $40,000 were raised during this areas first Brewfest. Set in the beautiful Blair County Ballpark, the sellout crowd was treated to great music from local bands, sampling of over 100 different craft and imports brews all while benefiting the much needed work of the CPHS. Everyone involved had a lot of fun for a great cause. The CPHS receives no tax dollars and exists only on donations and fundraising events such as Pints for Pets. Our shelter takes in thousands of pets each year. Without this vital shelter, most of these unfortunate animals would have little hope for adoption in good and loving homes.
